About this coffee

Tambo is a municipality in southwestern Colombia and one of the most important agricultural areas within the department of Cauca. This region produces a variety of products such as chontaduro and coffee. The proximity to the Colombian Massif gives it excellent agro-environmental conditions. Cofinet has been buying coffee from local farmers since 2018, well above the market price for quality coffee. Farmers are small-scale producers with less than 1 hectare of land and a high percentage of Castillo cultivar. Cofinet also improves their crops through technical assistance.
